The Daily Bork

You would have to be a NZer to enjoy this...

Three weeks ago, a friend of mine applied for a job advertised by the Immigration Department and was sent a job description. Amongst the characterisitics and qualitites required of applicants was an 'understanding of Treaty Principles.'

Of course my friend could not resist and phoned up some poor bugger at the employment agency. She politely asked if someone sould tell her what the "treaty principles " are so that she could make sure she understood them before interview time arrived. Her request was met first by silence, then by stammering confusion, then by "I don't know, I'll refer your question to the employer."
